Here's What You Need To Know About Seeing Your Friends In Toronto & Peel's Lockdown

Things are about to get a lot lonelier.
Contributing Writer

It's official. The Toronto and Peel Region are in full lockdown as of Monday morning.

Premier Doug Ford announced on Friday that the two municipalities would be shut down on November 23, 2020.

The decision comes with a long list of restrictions and here's what you and your friends need to know.

Editor's Choice: Everything You Need To Know About The New Lockdown In Toronto & Peel

We are taking preventative action today by moving Toronto and Peel into Lockdown level restrictions and other regions into higher levels of restrictions.  Doug Ford

For starters, you won't be able to see your friends indoors unless they live with you.

Ford announced that no indoor social gatherings can be hosted unless it is with members of your household.

However, if you live alone, you may choose to have close contact with one other person.

So depending on your choices, you can hang out with one friend or family member throughout the lockdown.

Social gatherings are also limited to a maximum of 10 people outdoors, so you may be able to see your friends this way.

However, it's important to note that the government is urging everyone in lockdown to stay home as much as possible.

Your friend group will also have to say goodbye to hitting up your favourite restaurants and bars as those will be limited to take-out and curbside pick-up only.

Toronto and Peel Region will be in lockdown for 28 days.
