Calling all foodies! This is one treat you don’t want to miss out on.

Toronto’s Beignet Shoppe is a decadent new pop-up that opened this past weekend at the Street Eats Market, and it was so popular it sold out.

The shop serves fluffy French donuts called beignets, which are square-shaped, deep-fried pastries sprinkled with powdered sugar.

These particular beignets have a New Orleans twist, which means they have a thicker dusting of sugar.

The pop-up, which is in partnership with 6 Spice Rack, was created by a couple who discovered the fluffy pastries during their travels and wanted to bring the taste to Canada.

You can indulge in a variety of sweet and savoury flavours, with new options added weekly.

Some staples include the New Orleans Chick, which has crispy fried chicken and Cheetos sandwiched between the pillowy pastry, and the Chocolate Lover, which comes with Oreo cookie cheesecake, dark chocolate chips, and Nutella espresso sauce.

You must pre-order for pickup on Fridays to Sundays. The shop is hoping to return as a full-time food truck in the spring.
