Toronto's New Escape Game Will Have You Sailing Across Lake Ontario On A Cursed Ghost Ship

You'll come face-to-face with ghosts beneath the moonlight. 👻

Lead Writer, Travel

Avast, ye! A brand new escape game is coming to Toronto, and you'll need your best pirate skills in order to complete the challenge.

Secret City Adventures has collaborated with Pirate Life to launch a haunting game called Escape The Ghost Ship. Opening September 24, the 90-minute adventure will take you sailing around the Toronto Islands beneath the glow of the moon.

You and your crew have plotted to steal a ship, but something sinister waits for you on deck. You'll come face-to-face with the ghost of Barnacle Beth and her phantom crew, and it's up to you to set them free before the curse claims more victims.

Complete with immersive theatre, AR technology and puzzles, the experience will sweep you away to the world of ghosts, pirates and plunder.

The game can be played individually or as part of a team, and you'll need to bring along a smartphone in order to participate using the AR technology. It's not recommended for children under 10.

Tickets can be purchased online and will go on sale September 15 at 10 p.m.
