The internet has a way of starting viral trends in a matter of moments. On Thursday, November 5 in the midst of a history-making day, Blink-182 is trending on Twitter and, believe it or not, it's related to U.S. election results

Our neighbours to the south really know how to keep us on our toes as election "day" has now stretched over several days and nights

People are eagerly checking the standings and a pretty funny trend has emerged as a result.

The original tweet blew up and people have been going off with different iterations.

Everything from "Zoey - 101" to "Maroon - 5" and "COVID - 19" have been included in the faux tallies.

At the time of writing, over 49,000 tweets had been made that included the words "Blink - 182."

The election is taking a while and people are tired. If we can't have a sense of humour about it then we should probably just go to bed.

Keep them coming, Canada.
