Visiting this small town in B.C. feels like stepping into a postcard, with charming streets lined with local shops and breathtaking scenery all around. It's like a real-life Stars Hollow, with a town square gazebo and all.

We polled our readers on the best small towns in Canada to live in, and this cozy spot made the cut — beloved for its wholesome vibes and stunning surroundings.

Revelstoke is still a bit of a hidden gem, set in the interior of B.C. and nestled among the mountain peaks. This spot strikes a unique balance of "wild spaces," "small town charm," and "big mountain adventure" — all words the tourism website uses to describe it, that hold true. So, while this is technically a city, this has all the small-town feels you could ask for.

The downtown is lively and fun to explore, with heritage buildings peppered around and cool boutiques alongside cute cafes. Creativity is also embedded into town with public sculptures and the "Art Alleries" — which are beautiful murals in alleys around town.

Then you have the array of local businesses to check out. After a day exploring the surroundings you can grab a pint from a local brewery, or a treat from the bakery in town.

The community is tight-knit, and it shows. There's two local Summer Markets here, on Saturdays. Both the Revelstoke Farm & Craft Market and the Local Food Initiative Market are downtown and you can go wander around the vendors, picking up everything from local honey to fresh flowers.

The town also has a cool heritage cinema called Roxy Theatre, adding to the whole aesthetic of this place.

It's all is just as stunning in the winter, too, with a dreamy blanket of snow everywhere.

Once you've gotten your fill of the bustling streets, you can look outward, where you'll find some of the most awe-inspiring nature in the province (and country, for that matter).

Mount Revelstoke National Park is right outside of town, and you'll find hiking trails to picturesque peaks, and blooming wildflower meadows there. The stunning Meadows in the Sky Parkway is there, and according to the tourism website it's "the only mountain in the national park system that you can summit just a short walk from your car!"

Beyond hiking there's scenic lakeshores, water sports, climbing spots, and even natural hot springs to visit nearby and soak in the nature at.

Walking around a storybook-like town with a coffee from Holm coffee company, heading out for an adventure during the day, and winding down with a movie at Roxy Theatre in the evening? Yeah, we can see why people want to live here.
