This little village, not far from Vancouver, is set alongside a sparkling lake and enclosed by rolling mountains. Just beyond are fields of blooming flowers and sprawling farmland, adding to the quaint atmosphere of this spot.

Harrison Hot Springs is the perfect weekend getaway spot for slow-paced vibes and scenic beauty, and was even named among the most beautiful spots in the country. It snagged a spot on Culture Trip's list of the "20 Most Beautiful Towns and Villages in Canada," thanks to its famous hot springs and waterfront views.

The village is nested along the sandy banks of Harrison Lake, making it easy to do things like kayaking, boating, paddle boarding, and hiking here.

The little town has accommodations, restaurants, and cozy cafes to check out too.

A big draw here is the mineral water of the hot springs, which you can access by going to the public pool in town.

In the springtime, people also drive out to the area to take in the blooming tulip fields. The Harrison Tulip Festival runs until May 4, and has millions of colourful blooms you can wander through.

It's about 90 minutes from Vancouver, so this makes for an easy day trip or weekend getaway spot.
