BC's Long Weekend Saw COVID-19 Exposures At 3 Popular Bars In Vancouver

Right in the heart of downtown.
Contributor

The effects of the B.C. long weekend are now being realized after three separate businesses reported COVID-19 exposures in Vancouver.

According to Vancouver Coastal Health, Pierre's Champagne Lounge, West Oak Restaurant, and PumpJack Pub all had public exposures in roughly the same timeframe.

As a precaution, we are advising people who visited on those dates to monitor themselves for 14 days.

Pierre's Champagne Lounge and West Oak Restaurant, which are located very close to each other off Nelson Street in Yaletown, were both exposed during the evening and night between Saturday, July 31 to Tuesday, August 3.

PumpJack Pub in Davie Village was exposed between 12 a.m. on Saturday, July 31 to Saturday, August 1 at 2 p.m.

The health authority calls these exposures "low risk," and adds that people who visited outside of the dates and times should be safe.
