Quaint streets in this small B.C. town are surrounded by scenic coastline, rolling mountains, and lush forest trails. It's the perfect blend of natural beauty with a vibrant community full of shops and restaurants, making it the kind of place you visit and never want ot leave.

That's many people's experience with this small town in B.C., which was recently ranked among the best in the province to call home. A money.ca ranking broke down the best towns to live in B.C., and Tofino came out among the top spots.

Tofino is known as a tourist hotspot, drawing people from around the world thanks to its breathtaking beaches (with world-class swells to surf), vibrant rainforest set alongside the sandy shores, and a lively little community with all the small-town charm you could ask for to top it all off.

The beach town is a dream for many to call a permanent home, though, and it makes sense.

Mornings here can be spent grabbing a cup of coffee from Rhino Coffee House, then breathing in the misty air of the moss-covered forest.

On Saturdays in the summer and early fall, you can head to the market right in town, where local vendors set up and the tight-knit community vibe is on full display. Any day of the week, though, you can just wander around town, popping into the little shops and cute boutiques.

Weekend afternoons can include long beach walks, ocean swims, or even a surf.

Like many places on Vancouver Island, the weather is mild here with subtle seasonal shifts. The fall is cozy as storm season starts and the tourism slows.

Winter is when the storms are in full force, and you can watch as powerful waves dramatically crash along the coastline.

Summer is busy here as the beach town vibes come to life with long days by the ocean and lots of exploring to be done.

Tofino is every bit as dreamy as it sounds, so it's no surprise that it earned the title of one of the best spots in B.C. to live.
