On Wednesday, March 24, Microsoft announced that they will be adding over 500 jobs in Vancouver over the course of 2021 as part of a Canadian expansion.

Microsoft is committed to expanding its "cloud footprint" in Canada after the pandemic has made our working conditions far less localized than they used to be.

To expand that footprint, they're hiring a whole bunch of people in Vancouver to "build leading applications in Intelligent Communications, Office, Azure, OneDrive, Web Experiences and mixed reality."

So, if you fancy yourself pretty techy, you may want to keep your eyes on their already-full job board.

“Microsoft is committed to helping Canada emerge from the pandemic stronger than ever. Our deep cloud and talent investments, combined with our widespread skilling efforts, will help organizations of all types and sizes accelerate their digital transformation,” said Kevin Peesker, president, Microsoft Canada.
