Peace and quiet await you in this small town in B.C., just a BC Ferries ride or road trip away from the bustling city streets of Vancouver. It feels like another world, though, with its scenic coastline, lush forest trails, and quaint shops lining the streets.

If you're up for a fall getaway, this little town tucked away on an island in B.C. will do the trick.

BetwayInsider released a new ranking of the "most peaceful places in North America," scoring destinations based on air quality, population density, spas, and noise.

Canada came through with lots of peaceful places, including Ucluelet, B.C. — a small town set on the west coast of the beautiful Vancouver Island.

To get there from Vancouver, you'll drive onto BC Ferries, sailing across the ocean to the small city of Nanaimo, on Vancouver Island. From there, you drive about two and a half hours to the town of Ucluelet.

This spot is a bit of a hidden gem, nestled along the water just 30 minutes down the road from the tourist hot spot of Tofino. Going here allows for more peace, fewer crowds, but the same beauty.

The town itself is cozy and quaint, with cute shops, a brewery, and little boutiques scattered around, plus an award-winning restaurant.

The harbour is calm and idyllic, with boats bobbing and rolling mountains all around.

Surrounding the town is some of the most spectacular nature you can imagine. The jagged black rocks along the coast blend into soft sandy beaches, perfect for evening walks or a surf adventure.

Alongside that is the vibrant rainforest, with ancient trees you can wander between. The Rainforest Trail is a go-to here to step into the stunning wilderness.

Wickaninnish Beach or Long Beach are popular spots here too, where you can take in the views and breathe in the fresh ocean air.

If you really want to relax, you can head to Drift spa at the Black Rock resort. There, you can feel pampered while looking out at the breathtaking scenery. You can also stay right at the resort, perfect for a luxurious getaway still immersed in nature.

The slow pace of this town, blended with the natural elements, makes it like none other.
