Black Vancouver is organizing another massive Vancouver BLM protest, right in time for Emancipation Day next week.

The rally will be held on Saturday, August 1, at Vancouver's Olympic Cauldron from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

It is very important not to forget the issues that we need to address in our own city as well.

In an Instagram post, they write that the event aims to "push petitions to effect change," several of which will be shared on their Instagram page the day of the protest.

The three-hour-long event will feature a ton of cultural celebrations; if you're a Black artist interested in showcasing your music, poetry, and more, DM them for more information.

They remind people that this is a peaceful protest, and ask attendees to wear masks and gloves, as well as to stand two metres apart.
