British Columbia's own Dr. Bonnie Henry is basically an Instagram star after taking over Olivia Munn's social media and speaking to her 2.6 million followers about COVID-19.

The provincial health officer, who's been acclaimed worldwide for her skill in handling the outbreak in B.C., shared on Munn's channels on Tuesday, June 30.

“

We are a global community, and we’re all in the same storm

Henry's message of unity said that this was "our opportunity to put anger and mistrust aside and be united towards a common foe."

During her daily press conference in B.C. on June 26, Henry said that she "wasn't particularly social media savvy," but she was super excited for the opportunity.

This unique takeover that happened on Twitter and Instagram was part of a larger movement called #passthemic where celebs give the keys to their millions of followers to some of the world's leading experts in public health.
