There's a new winter forecast with details about what the season will be like across the country.

It even revealed when Canada's weather will be the snowiest and coldest!

The new Canadian winter forecast from the Old Farmer's Almanac has called for a "wet and mild" season with snowy weather, chilly temperatures, and the occasional polar freeze.

Even though much of the country is expected to get milder than average temperatures, some places will still experience a classic Canadian winter.

That's because "mild" is relative to the seasonal average for winter.

Also, the polar vortex could push Arctic air deep into Canada, bringing "extreme cold and increased snowfall."

B.C.'s winter forecast has called for above-normal temperatures with below-normal precipitation in the north and above-normal precipitation in the south.

It's expected to be coldest in late November, early December and early February in B.C.

The snowiest periods are expected in late November and early to mid-December, according to the Old Farmer's Almanac.

In the Prairies, temperatures and precipitation are forecast to be above normal this winter.
