Halloween came and went, but this Alberta man's costume will live on in our hearts forever.

Courtney Ketchmark was lucky enough to spot him in the city of Brooks on the evening of October 31.

She told Narcity that she shouted "Shrek!" to get his attention and snapped some pics of him and his companion.

Ketchmark says that she spotted Shrek and Donkey out and about on Main Street. 

She says that she didn't realize it at the time, but that Shrek was actually promoting his business.

According to Ketchmark, he owns the White Barn Fun Farm located in the Cassils Community near Brooks, Alberta.

If there was such thing as the perfect promo stunt, this is definitely it.
