About the cabin pods

These historic barrel cabins have a treehouse sort of vibe with it being perched upon a hillside. You'll also be deep in the forest, which will make for an enchanting stay.

On the top floor, you'll find the only bedroom with a king-sized bed and a bathroom. On the main floor, there's a sleeper sofa in the living room, a fireplace, a TV with cable, and a full kitchen with all everything you'll need, besides the eats and paper towels.

While you won't be roughing it out by actually camping, there's no Wifi. This is the perfect place to take a break from reality and put your phone down for a few days.

What's there to do around the cabin?

The cabin is located right by Unicoi Lake, where you can take a kayak out and explore the state park's beauty from the water. There are also numerous hiking trails to get your workout on during the day and see the Chattahoochee National Forest. One of them even leads to the famous Anna Ruby Falls.

If you're looking for more of an exhilarating adventure, you can try target shooting, try your luck at paddle boarding, rent a boat for the day, mountain bike, or even go zip lining through the trees all at this one park.

How much is it to stay here?

For the one-bedroom barrel cabin, the rates run at about $149 a night. When you split that up between the four guests it can sleep, you'll only be paying around $38 a night per person.

For a two-bedroom cabin that sleeps eight, the price goes up a smidge to $169 a night, which is still a pretty great deal if you have a larger group you want to experience this with. Split eight ways, you're looking at about $22 per person each night.

There are a few dates left in November and December to stay in these cool pods, but there are tons of 2021 dates just waiting to be filled.

It might just be time for you to book that mini-vacay you've been talking about.
