Pack your bags! This enchanting small town near Ontario looks like a twinkling Christmas postcard and is a magical spot to visit during the holiday season.

Travel + Leisure revealed the "20 best places to spend Christmas this year" and this town near Ontario made the cut.

The list is made up of destinations around the world, from sunny island escapes to dazzling European cities.

Stowe, Vermont was included in the roundup, and if you're looking for holiday magic, it might be worth a road trip.

The fairytale village is located just over 4 hours from Ottawa and offers endless Christmas splendour.

According to Travel + Leisure, Stowe is "a popular ski destination among East Coasters and one of the most picture-perfect places to go for Christmas."

The old-world downtown is lined with quaint, twinkly shops, cozy cafes and holiday decor, making you feel as though you've stepped into a Christmas card.

"With snow falling and holiday lights aglow around quaint shops and historic buildings, skiing and riding, and other winter activities, there's no better place to be," the Stowe website says.

You can enjoy merry events like A Traditional Christmas in Stowe, where you'll find wagon rides, a holiday bazaar, live music and more.

There's also the Spruce Peak Lights Festival complete with fireworks, Santa photos and ice dancing performances.

With endless twinkly shops, warm restaurants, storybook vibes and holiday cheer, Stowe is a magical place for a little Christmas getaway.
