This Ontario beach with Mediterranean vibes and azure water is among the world's 'most iconic'

It's a hidden summer gem.

Lead Writer, Travel

You'll feel like you're lounging by the Mediterranean Sea at this dreamy Ontario beach. Tucked away in a hidden cove, this stunning destination is a summer oasis and was just named among the 'most iconic' beaches in the world.

In celebration of its 100th anniversary, beer brand Corona released "Corona Beach 100," a curated list and interactive guide to 100 iconic beaches around the world.

To compile the list, Corona gathered a panel of beach experts—including oceanographers, surfers, free divers, and other nature specialists—who rated hundreds of the world's top beaches using a specific set of criteria.

Two Canadian gems made the list, including this breathtaking Ontario spot.

Little Cove Beach is a heavenly destination near the tiny town of Tobermory. Tucked into a secret cove along Lake Huron's Bruce Peninsula, the beach has beautiful natural surroundings and water so clear that you can see right to the bottom.

According to Corona, Little Cove boasts a "triple combo of turquoise mirror-flat water, serene silence, and postcard-perfect views of forests, limestone cliffs, and a white cobblestone beach."

Its "Mediterranean energy" and "turquoise shallows" make it a dream spot to spend a day.

While the water may look tropical, it's actually quite cold, so be prepared for a chilly swim.

To enjoy this destination, you must reserve a four-hour timeslot through the municipal Park Pass Project system.

Little Cove is open from May 15 to October 15, 2025 and requires a parking fee and Parks Canada admissions fee.

The only other Canadian destination on the list of the world's most iconic beaches is Cox Bay Beach in Tofino, B.C.

If you're dreaming of crystal-clear waters and breathtaking views, this hidden cove beach in Ontario is your dream come true.
