Alberta's premier, Jason Kenney, has issued a statement urging Biden not to cancel the pipeline.
TC Energy's press release noted the impact they believe would result from the cancellation: "The action would directly lead to the layoff of thousands of union workers and negatively impact ground-breaking industry commitments to use new renewable energy as well as historic equity partnerships with Indigenous communities."
Joe Biden has said he plans to overturn a number of Trump's policies the moment he gets into office.
Those policies include the Keystone XL Pipelines' permits and a number of other policies related to the environment.
Biden will officially become president on Wednesday, January 20 and Trump has already given his farewell speech to America.
