Love is in the air in this Canadian city. Boasting twinkling shops, snowy cobblestone streets, warm cafes and European vibes, you'll feel like you've stepped into a cozy Christmas Disney film while visiting this spot with your loved one.

The destination is a just a road trip from Ottawa and makes for an idyllic winter getaway with your favourite person.

On Narcity Canada's Facebook page, we asked readers what the most romantic city in Canada is. There were over 100 responses, and this city received the most votes.

Québec City is the place to be if you're looking for romance. It's close to a 5 hour drive from Ottawa and is even more magical during the winter months, when the area transforms into a glittering wonderland with glowing lights and snowy views.

According to Québec Cité, the destination is brimming with "romantic wintery European charm" and you'll find "restaurants with an intimate atmosphere and beautiful historic streets covered in snow."

There are lots of romantic activities to enjoy throughout the city, from speeding down the Dufferin Terrace Toboggan Slide to exploring the sparkling shops along Petit-Champlain and gliding about Place D'Youville Ice Rink.

You can also check out the Québec Winter Carnival and visit the glistening Ice Hotel.

Other Canadian cities that received some recognition for their romantic vibes include Victoria, Banff and Tofino.
