Trudeau Is Excited To Work With Biden & Harris As 'Friends' To Tackle Issues Together

In a public address in Ottawa on Tuesday, February 2, Justin Trudeau spoke briefly about Canada and U.S. relations. 

The prime minister said that he had a productive call with Vice President Harris yesterday.

"Canadians and Americans have long stood together, not just as neighbours and allies, but as friends," he continued. 

He said that he's looking forward to working with the new president and vice president. 

Trudeau said he will work closely with his new American counterparts to tackle challenges and navigate opportunities together. 

Trudeau and Harris also talked about their roots in Quebec, having both lived and gone to school in Montreal. 

In today's press conference, Trudeau also discussed the domestic production of COVID-19 vaccines in Canada. 

He continued to say that all Canadians who want vaccines will get them by September.
