Tucked away in a small town sits this dreamy shoreline with soft sand, beach grass blowing in the wind, and the warmest salt water in all of Canada. You can dive into tropical-like water and soak in the sun on the picturesque coast.

Parlee Beach is in New Brunswick, within Parlee Beach Provincial Park and just outside little town of Shediac. It might be surprising that this East Coast beach boasts the country's warmest salt water, but it's a point of pride for the province.

It's not just the warm swimming that draws people here though. The shoreline has that signature Maritime beauty, with a kilometre of velvety sand enclosed by grassy marshes on either end.

The beach also has a Blue Flag designation, which means it meets criteria for water quality and environmental safety.

Nothing says summer like a dip in the salty ocean water — especially when you won't be freezing. According to Tourism New Brunswick, the waters in this area can heat up to 29°C, which is "warmer than an Olympic swimming pool."

If you want to make a weekend trip out of it Parlee Beach Provincial Park has campsites that are a ten-minute walk from the beach — so you can immerse yourself in the outdoors.

The town of Shediac also has lots to do on a beach vacation, including a stop at the "The World's Largest Lobster" sculpture and a waterfront stroll featuring a lighthouse.

Lobster rolls, lighthouses, and beach days – it's an East Coast kind of summer ahead.
