B.C. has many claims to fame (we're talking Canada's best beaches and cutest towns), but this one will tempt you to make a visit this summer like no other.

You can dive into clear salty water, swimming with a view of the expansive ocean, in this massive pool. It's set right alongside the beach, so you can enjoy the same views, without sand getting everywhere.

Kitsilano Pool is right in Vancouver, and from it you can look out onto the ocean, city, and mountains. It's famous for it's picturesque location, and for its size.

According to Atlas Obscura the pool stretches out 137 metres, making it the "longest salt water pool in North America."

The pool is a landmark of the community in Vancouver, dating back over 50 years and undergoing many renovations. Because of the upkeep it's been closed, undergoing repairs, but is set to re-open in mid-June according to the City of Vancouver.

That means you should be able to enjoy the salt water swimming this summer without wading into the ocean and braving the colder water. The pool is also tucked away in the vibrant neighbourhood of Kitsilano – where you can explore cute cafes and shops in between dips.

To get into the pool you'll have to pay a fee — $7.93 for adults and $3.97 for kids.

If you're heading to Vancouver this summer, add this to you itinerary!
