CSIS is hiring surveillance analysts and you don't need a degree to make close to $100,000

You'll help determine the intelligence value of surveillance information. 🔎

Senior Writer

The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) is hiring surveillance analysts.

You can make almost $100,000 a year even without a university degree.

Canada's national intelligence and security agency is looking for Canadians to work as part of the Surveillant Unit and provide in-office support.

These CSIS jobs will be located in Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto.

As a Physical Surveillant Analyst, you will:

  • analyze, record, and identify trends and patterns of information provided by surveillance teams or operational reports
  • determine intelligence value, analyze information, and provide information to surveillance teams
  • maintain the surveillance information database and the surveillance target coding system
  • liaise with surveillance teams and Intelligence Officers by giving and receiving information on targets
  • conduct research and analysis to produce reports based on incoming information
  • assess the relevance of information and organize and integrate information into established reporting parameters
  • participate in developing and implementing procedures and communications related to the surveillance processes

For these jobs, the CSIS salary is between $77,427 and $94,177 a year.

You need to have a high school diploma and five years of experience, a college diploma and three years of experience, or an undergraduate degree and one year of experience.

That experience must be in research and analysis, report writing, and multitasking in a high-demand environment without loss of effectiveness or efficiency.

You must be able to do shift work, including weekends and overtime.

Also, some travel within the region is required based on operational needs.

You must be eligible to receive an Enhanced Top Secret security clearance.

That process involves a security interview, a polygraph, and a background investigation with credit and financial verifications.

The deadline to apply is October 10, 2025.
