DAVIDsTEA expects to reopen the 18 stores by the end of August 2020.

Locations have been closed since March because of the COVID-19 pandemic and there are plans to reopen the 18 stores that will stay in business by the end of August.

All of the stores will be in major shopping malls.

There will be seven in Quebec and five in Ontario. The rest will be in Alberta, B.C., Manitoba, and New Brunswick.

Now, the focus will be on expanding sales online, as well as in grocery stores and pharmacies across Canada.

The Montreal-based company is sending notices to end the leases for the other 82 stores and the closures will take effect in 30 days.
