There's An Italian Food Spot Hidden Inside These Massive Glass 'Snow Globes' In Seattle

This spot is a plant lovers dream.
Contributor

There are tons of hidden gems all over the city, but one place that is often overlooked is the eateries inside the Amazon Spheres. Willmott's Ghost in Seattle is an Italian hot spot that sits inside the greenhouse-like structure. It has yummy food, drinks, and an even better ambiance.

Willmott's Ghost is an Italian eatery that focuses on cuisine coming out of Rome.

The menu is full of traditional Roman-style dishes like paninis, pizzas, appetizers, and salads with an excellent wine list and, of course, delicious desserts.

On the outside, it looks like a massive snow globe, but once you step in, you'll be transported into a garden that only dreams are made of.

According to the restaurant's website, it's "named for the flowering plant botanist Ellen Willmott [who] would surreptitiously plant in friendsʼ yards and in public places."

It's genuinely one of the most remarkable buildings in the downtown Seattle area.

You can pop by for a meal from Tuesday to Friday, from noon to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Seattle foodies will be thrilled to know that restauranteur Renee Erickson is behind this venture into Italian cuisine.

The eatery is among only a few places open to the public, including a speakeasy.

Several years ago, Amazon announced the creation of the Spheres, which are a cluster of glass globes that house exotic plants that transport you right into nature.

With few speakeasy-style bars and restaurants, this is the spot to visit if you've ever wanted to eat in a greenhouse.

So if you are a plant fanatic or have your own green thumb and love Italian cuisine, you can head down to Belltown, it won't disappoint!
