The Canadian Food Inspection Agency updated its distribution information to now include Ontario, in addition to Quebec.

Eggs from Les Œufs Richard Eggs Inc. were recalled due to a potential risk of salmonella.

Products of varying sizes bearing the Nutri and no-name brands were also included.

The CFIA is continuing its food-safety investigation and is working to ensure that all affected products are removed from the marketplace.

If you have any of these eggs in your home, you should either throw them out or return them to the store where they were bought.

This is the second egg recall that has occurred in Canada over the course of the previous two months.

Symptoms of salmonella can include chills, fever, vomiting, and a sudden headache. Young children, pregnant women, and people with compromised immune systems can have serious complications from the illness.

There have not been any reported illnesses connected to the consumption of the recently recalled eggs.
