Soon Black-owned businesses in Canada will be listed on a digital directory that's everyone has access to and it will be the first of its kind in the country.

The Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce (CBCC) is launching an online directory for Black-owned small businesses across the country called "The Black Pages."

It will be free to join and free to view so that Canadians can easily find and support restaurants, retail shops, vendors, entrepreneurs and more.

Andria Barrett, president of the CBCC, said in a news release that the directory will represent businesses from coast to coast and increase the support and the number of customers they get.

"The Black Pages" is set to launch in 2021.

Right now, any interested Black small business owners can register to get a spot in the new directory.

There's currently a campaign to get Canadian retailers to dedicate shelf space to BIPOC-owned businesses and brands.

The prime minister recently announced the creation of Canada's first-ever Black entrepreneurship program to support business owners.
