An Ontario Company Is Giving Its Employees A Paid Day Off To Get A COVID-19 Vaccine

Workers won't have to worry about losing a day of pay.

An Ontario company is now offering its workers a paid day off to help them get a COVID-19 vaccine.

Urban Nature Store announced on Thursday that it would be offering both part-time and full-time employees a full day's pay to remove "financial barriers."

"We want to support those who choose to get vaccinated by alleviating any potential concern they may have surrounding time off and loss of pay," Paul Oliver, Founder, said.

The company also noted that the offer will cover appointment times that are scheduled outside of work hours. 

The company has locations across southern Ontario, including Toronto, Kingston and St. Catharines.
