Some students just got awesome bragging rights. The University of Toronto has officially been named one of the most reputable schools in North America.

The post-secondary institute currently ranks amongst the top 20 globally.

In fact, U of T is ranked the number one university in all of Canada, beating out other reputable schools such as McGill and UBC.

The World University Rankings has also placed U of T as the fourth-best public university in North America and 20th globally.

“This outstanding reputation is a crucial factor in our ability to attract the world’s top students, faculty and staff, to our three campuses," Meric Gertler, U of T president, said in a news release.

The latest update on the school's ranking is just one of many that it has achieved.

Back in October, U of T was declared the best post-secondary school in all of Canada.
