A few weeks ago, hot spots across the U.S. like Universal and Disney started to announce their reopening dates. The Peach State is following close behind, as the Six Flags Over Georgia theme park is about to open back up this month. New guidelines will be in place for all guests and employees to follow to ensure safety during upcoming visits.

Six Flags Over Georgia and Six Flags White Water in Atlanta have officially announced their reopening dates, just in time for summer. Those with season passes will be able to have Six Flags Over Georgia to themselves first from June 15 to June 21. White Water will have its "Preview Days" from June 29 to July 2.

If you don't have a pass or membership though, hang tight. The coaster park will reopen to all visitors on Monday, June 22, with the water park following close behind on July 3.

A video from the communications manager, Sharon Parker, explains what guests can expect. It also explains exclusive details on how exactly the parks will be implementing CDC guidelines.

Health screenings that include taking guests and staff's temperatures before they enter will take place, requiring all visitors to be healthy for at least 14 days before their visit.

Guests over the age of two will also be required to wear masks that cover the nose and mouth, with some exceptions at the water park. Sanitation stations will be set up throughout, while staff disinfects high-traffic common areas and touchpoints like handrails and benches.

A reservation system for ticket purchases will also be implemented. This allows Six Flags to monitor capacity and ensure that social distancing guidelines can be followed throughout the park.

Line queues to get on rides will have decals marking where to stand while you wait. Staff will be roaming around to ensure guidelines are being followed.

"We’ve developed custom plans for each of our rides and attractions to minimize contact between parties and follow social distancing guidelines," the official website reads.

"Strategies for separating guests include empty rows and leaving empty seats between guests in ride vehicles."

Whether you want to fly down a swirling water slide or scream until your lungs give out on a lightning speed coaster, you can do it all soon at Six Flags Atlanta.
