On Tuesday, March 16, eight people were shot and killed in Atlanta spas in an act of hate directly targeting women of Asian descent.

Two days after the shootings, President Joe Biden has issued an order that American flags be flown at half-staff in honor of the victims who lost their lives.

The president tweeted on Wednesday saying he and First Lady Jill Biden are keeping everyone impacted by the shootings in their prayers.

Multiple GoFundMe's have been created to help support the families affected by the Atlanta shootings as well as others impacted by widespread attacks on the Asian community.

These shootings have come during a time of increased attacks on Asian communities in the U.S. and worldwide.
