Angelou's doll is the tenth in Barbie's "Inspiring Women" series, which also includes doll versions of Ella Fitzgerald, Florence Nightingale, Susan B. Anthony, Rosa Parks, Billie Jean King, and Sally Ride.

"The Inspiring Women™ Series pays tribute to incredible heroines of their time; courageous women who took risks, changed rules, and paved the way for generations of girls to dream bigger than ever before," said Mattel.
