In the latest news of potential food recalls in Canada, one man from Prince Edwards Island is having his 'bottled beef' and 'bottled chicken' investigated due to it possibly containing dangerous bacteria.

That's right, The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is letting the public know that they are looking into the bottled food made by a man named Robert Waite from PEI. Depending on what they find, a recall may be issued.*

What's more, the contained meat in question was actually sold with no labels and in a mason jar. It was bought via classified ads in a newspaper.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency

The agency said that the food could possibly be carrying very harmful bacterias including the growth of what is called Clostridium botulinum.

They also said that the product contaminated with the toxin might not look or smell rotten but it can still make you sick.

Additionally, the units under investigation were sold up until November 26, 2020.

CFIA asks that the public check their homes to see if they have the item and if so to not consume it.

Some symptoms of consumption would include loss of facial expression, unreactive or fixed pupils, difficulty swallowing, drooping eyelids, blurred or double vision, a hard time speaking or slurred speech and a change in the sound of your voice, according to the agency.

In the worst of cases, it could prove to be fatal. There have been no reports of sickness due to the consumption of the meats.
