Food recalls in Canada: Mushrooms, cookies, and more grocery products

Health Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency have recently issued several notifications about food recalls and warnings for foods sold in Canada and you'll want to check to see if you have them in your home.
The latest food recalls in Canada are due to listeria, undeclared allergens, potential cyanide poisoning and other reasons according to the CFIA.
If you suspect you've fallen ill due to any foods involved in these recalls, the government advises getting in touch with a medical professional.
Enoki Mushrooms
Enoki mushrooms.
On March 26, a food recall warning was issued for enoki mushrooms sold in Ontario, Quebec and possibly other areas of the country due to possible listeria contamination.
"Food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick," warns the government. "Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness."

On March 21, a notification was issued for Karachi Bakery brand Gluten Free Cookies sold in Manitoba, New Brunswick and Ontario due to undeclared gluten.

The Pie Commission brand Braised Beef Rib Pot Pie.
On March 16, a food recall warning was issued for The Pie Commission brand Braised Beef Rib Pot Pie sold in Ontario and possibly other areas due to undeclared anchovy.

On March 15, a notification was issued for Iqbal's brand Apricot Seed and Nazo brand Apricot Kernels sold nationally as it may cause cyanide poisoning.

On March 15, a notication was issued for Indian Heritage brand of Soya Chaap sold in B.C. and Ontario due to undeclared soy and gluten.
Chicken Base Paste
On March 12, Block & Barrel brand Chicken Base Paste sold in B.C. and Quebec was recalled due to pieces of plastic and metal.
