Shopping for ourselves is so easy. It’s shopping for others that’s the challenge. Do we get our mom another scented candle? Would our bestie want a second Zara gift card like the one we got her last year?

For the person who seems to have everything, a Cameo from their favourite celebrity is definitely something they’ve never received before.

Even better, there’s a sale right now and you can save up to 50% on Cameos for Mothers’ Day.

Cameo

Here’s how Cameo works: After creating an account on the website or app, you can sort through thousands of celebrities – athletes, YouTube stars, singers, reality TV personalities, you name it – and fill out a request form once you've made your selection. The form just explains what you want them to say and who to address it to.

After that, you pay with a credit card (the price varies depending on the celeb) and they have seven days to approve your request and record the video—they'll either email or text it to you—which you can download, show your family and share on social.

You can request a video from Canadian comedian Colin Mochrie of Whose Line is it Anyway? fame for $82.50, or Tiger King sensation Carole Baskin for $225.

Canadian actress Laura Vandervoort from the hit TV show Smallville is on Cameo for $108.75, while The Bachelor hunk Ben Higgins is just $50. There are thousands of other celebrities to choose from if these examples aren’t cutting it for you. You'll have fun browsing.
