Even though summer is in full swing, the grim spectre of winter is always on the minds of Canadians. The blustery season is never as bad when you have a cozy space to escape to. The latest IKEA Canada bedroom event can help with that, offering up deals on comfy beds and useful furniture.

Items like bed frames, dressers, sheets, and other bedroom essentials are all on sale.

If you feel like you're not getting the best sleep right now, you can try picking up a new bed for 15% off until September 23, with some queen-sized frames as low as $169, including the attractive MALM and TRYSIL models.

For even more storage space, the SONGESAND comes with two drawers underneath and has been reduced from $304 to $259.

Speaking of storage, there's nothing worse than not having enough space for all of your clothes.

Luckily, in addition to beds, dressers and nightstands have also been reduced by 15%.

Until September 2, the MALM three-drawer dresser, which is available in four different colours, is down to $84.99.

If you're really in need of more storage, the HEMNES eight-drawer dresser has been reduced from $299 to $255.

Like the MALM, it also comes in different colours, so you can coordinate and make your room look exactly how you want it.

What's a bedroom without a solid nightstand? The sturdy and stylish HEMNES and TRYSIL models are available for just $59.99 and $52.99, respectively.

Aside from the essential furniture for any bedroom, IKEA also has the small things that make a space feel more comfortable available for under $10.

That includes pillows, duvets, and fitted sheets. There are also more organizational items like the SKUBB, which would be perfect for getting stuff off the floor in any closet.

With Canada expected to get another long, snowy, and cold winter, getting the furniture you need ahead of time (while the weather is still decent) might not be a bad idea.
