She went on to say that as she and Donald conclude their time in the White House, she thinks of all the people who she holds in her heart.

The First Lady referenced the "brave young soldiers" who serve in the American army. She spoke of military families and law enforcement, as well.

She reflected, saying that she has been "humbled to represent a nation with such kind and generous people."

Next, she spoke of the COVID-19 pandemic, thanking front-line workers and healthcare professionals.

"In the midst of hardship, we have seen the best of America shine through," she said.

The First Lady urged Americans to be kind, saying that "violence is never the answer and will never be justified."

Melania Trump concluded by saying: "No words can express the depth of my gratitude for the privilege of having served as your First Lady. To all of the people of this country, you will be in my heart forever. Thank you, God bless you, and God bless the United States of America."
