A 6-Year-Old Girl Was Stabbed In Montreal Early This Morning

The victim of a Montreal stabbing is a six-year-old girl. Police are still investigating what happened.

At around 3:00 a.m. on July 23, an incident occurred at an apartment on Desautels St. in Montreal. A woman and a child were found at the scene.

The little girl was stabbed and later died in hospital.* 

The woman still needs to be interviewed by [police] to determine exactly what happened in the apartment.

An officer with the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal confirmed that the two are related.

It is a mother and her daughter who were involved in the incident inside the apartment.

The woman found there still needs to be interviewed by police to figure out what happened. 

Police are still on the scene.

According to CTV News, the child suffered multiple stab wounds. They report that the woman is also being treated in hospital for minor injuries.*
