Edmonton's Active COVID-19 Case Count Is The Highest It's Ever Been
More workplace and school outbreaks were reported.
The Edmonton Health Zone's COVID-19 numbers have skyrocketed and even hit a new record.
As of Wednesday morning, September 23, active COVID-19 cases in Edmonton are at an all-time high, according to the Edmonton Journal. The city has also reported a number of outbreaks across schools and workplaces.

CTV News also reported that the city reached an all-time high for active cases at 70.2 being infected with the disease per 100,000 people.
According to government data, eleven workplace-related outbreaks have declared, including Walmart Supercentre, the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald, a U of A dormitory, and others.
The Journal reported that six new schools in Edmonton have reported COVID-19 outbreaks, meaning two or more individuals at the school have tested positive.
