BC Just Set A New Record For Active COVID-19 Cases In The Province

This isn't good. B.C.'s COVID-19 curve is heading upwards again.
On Tuesday, August 18, the province's deputy health officer Dr. Reka Gustafson announced a total of 4,677 cases in the province. With a recent jump in cases, the number of active cases in B.C. is higher than it's ever been in the history of COVID-19 in B.C.

On Monday, August 17, the provincein the biggest single-day case count, when it recorded 100 new cases between August 14 and August 15.
Adrian Dix, the province's health minister, has announced that changes are coming with regard to enforcement.
Gustafson said in her press release that while no new "community outbreaks" have been detected, events cause COVID-19 exposures are still continuing.
