Ontario Has Just Extended Its Emergency Orders For Another 2 Weeks
Orders will be extended until July 29.
It looks like Ontario's summer won't be returning to normal just yet. The provincial government has just announced thatwill be extended for another two weeks.
While many parts of the province will be entering stage three this Friday, most emergency orders will stay in place until at least July 29.
NEW END DATE OF ONTARIO’S EMERGENCY ORDERS
According to the government press release, this extension will include the enforcement of orders, pandemic pay and the allowance of patio spaces.
These orders have been extended to ensure that the population will continue to be protected against the spread of COVID-19.
"Although the trends in public health indicators continue to improve, we must remain on our guard and only relax emergency orders if and when safe to do so," Ford stated.
The government first announced a state of emergency on March 17, which is set to stay in place until July 24.
