Ontario Has 213 New COVID-19 Cases Today & Most Are Younger Adults
This is the highest jump since June.
The province is seeing an uptick in cases this Friday. The government announced that Ontario's new COVID-19 cases hit 213.
This marks the highest number that Ontario has seen since June 29, according to Newstalk1010.
New COVID-19 Cases in Ontario on Friday
According to Christine Elliott, Ontario's Minister of Health, there are three cities that contribute the most to this number.
"There are 71 cases in Toronto, with 38 in Peel and 37 in Ottawa," she reports.
Out of these 213 positive cases, 67% of them are in younger adults from the age of 40 and under.
Elliott continued to remind residents that the best way to stop COVID-19 from spreading is to continue to wash our hands and wear a face covering.
