Emergency crews responded to a terrifying incident this afternoon. Two window washers in Toronto were working 25 storeys high when their platform collapsed from under them.

Police said that the two workers were left dangling from the highrise building while waiting for rescue.

Photos and videos of the scene are being shared by witnesses on social media.

The incident occurred in the busy Yonge and Eglinton area, so it's very lucky that no one was injured by the falling platform.

Toronto Fire and police officers are currently at the scene.

This summer, a crane collapsed in downtown Toronto, smashing into a neighbouring office building. Remarkably, the crane operator managed to climb down to safety.
