Ontario license plates that were rejected throughout 2023 have now been revealed.

You better buckle up because some of these that weren't given the green light last year will have you thinking, "NOFNWAY."

Through ServiceOntario, you can buy a personalized licence plate for your vehicle and a personalized licence plate message is allowed to include almost any combination of letters and numbers.

But there are rules for what you can have and so not every request for a custom license plate gets approved by the province.

Ontario's Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery shared with Narcity a list of rejected personalized licence plates from 2023.

The list — which was put together on January 4, 2024 — includes personalized plates that were ordered in Ontario from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023, and rejected following a review.

Personalized licence plate applications won't be accepted if the combination of letters/numbers has already been issued or if they are found to be "objectionable" under certain criteria.

That includes abusive or obscene language and derogatory slang, clarity and readability, drugs and alcohol, human rights discrimination, political figures and law enforcement, sexual meaning, and violence and criminal activity.

Here are some of the rejected personalized license plates from the 56-page list that Ontario's Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery shared with Narcity:
