Who's ready for some holiday romance? If you're dreaming of a little Christmas getaway with your boo, this enchanting small town in Ontario is the place to be.

With twinkle-lit streets, cozy shops and holiday warmth, it's like stepping into a Christmas card.

Stratford, Ontario is a charming destination located about 2 hours from Toronto. With Shakespearean vibes and old-world charm, it's a beautiful spot to visit during the holiday season.

It's known for its iconic Stratford Festival, which showcases a range of theatrical performances from April to October.

Destination Ontario included Stratford in a roundup of romantic Christmas getaways and called it one of "Ontario’s best Hallmark Christmas towns to spend the holidays with your sweetheart."

You can spend your time exploring the charming shops downtown and doing some holiday shopping. Stratford's annual Christmas Trail is taking place throughout December and features loads of festive stops and boutiques.

Starting December 13, you can enjoy the Lights On Stratford winter festival, which features glowing art and interactive light installations.

Stratford is a great spot for a date night due to its many upscale restaurants and cozy eateries. Places like Lovage, Bluebird restaurant & bar, Bijou and Revival House are good options for a night out.

There are lots of options when it comes to places to stay. Stratford is brimming with quaint inns and B&Bs where you can book a romantic getaway.
