Looking for a small town getaway in Ontario? This charming village is a beautiful place to explore and is a road trip away from Toronto.

The village is located just over two hours from the city and boasts quaint streets, beautiful landscapes and cute local shops. It's a 20 minute drive from the shores of Lake Huron, making it a magical destination to visit during the summer months.

With unique festivals, scenic hikes and delicious eateries, this dreamy destination has something for everyone.

Blyth is a "small vibrant village" near Lake Huron. According to the town's website, it's home to the Blyth Festival, a "world-renowned theatre" with both indoor and outdoor venues. The theatre attracts thousands of visitors each year and showcases original Canadian plays.

Another highlight of the town is the G2G Rail Trail Experience, which features 132-kilometres of hiking through four counties and 13 villages.

If you're visiting during the spring, you can head to Blyth Creek Maple Farm and learn all about maple syrup production.

The cozy downtown has several cute shops to visit such as Blyth Farm Cheese and Pick a Posie Vintage.

If you're looking for a place to eat, you can head to the Blyth Inn and try the "famous wings" or visit Cowbell Brewing, a restaurant, bar and patio with upscale pub fare.

You can even book an overnight stay to enjoy the area for longer. There are quaint cottages and inns available as well as Hotel Lux, a luxury hotel with unique designs in every room.

During the summer months, you can take a short drive to one of the beaches in Goderich, such as Main Beach or Rotary Cove Beach, or head to Point Farms Provincial Park for more beach adventures.
