The warm-up kicks off early in the week, with southern Ontario already expected to see daytime highs well above seasonal. But it's Wednesday night into Thursday morning that'll really make things feel like summer.
TWN says overnight lows on Wednesday night could stay around 17 degrees in Toronto, Hamilton, London and other southern Ontario cities, which is actually warmer than the average overnight low for July. In Windsor, the overnight low could be as high as 19! Meanwhile, over in eastern Ontario, Ottawa and Kingston won't dip lower than 15.
This kind of nighttime warmth is not just unusual but may even break records for how late in the year temperatures stay this high, according to TWN.
Parts of northern Ontario, including Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie, aren't left out of the heatwave either. According to The Weather Network, Wednesday night lows could reach about 13 degrees up there, making for a warm Halloween across the province.
But, as always, the Ontario weather rollercoaster won't let the warmth stick around for long. By Friday, cooler air will make its way in, with the arrival of November bringing temperatures back down to more typical autumn levels.
