Canada's capital city just recorded another outbreak, this time at a wedding.

The gathering has led to over 200 people in isolation in Ottawa.

According to Ottawa Public Health, the ceremony was attended by fifty guests — since then, all 207 contacts have had to get tested.

The public health unit released a chart that shows how the disease was transmitted within the community, leading to 22 cases.

The wedding was the direct cause of an outbreak in a group home and exposure in an Ottawa school.

"Another Ottawa example of community transmission. In September, an individual with mild symptoms attended a wedding," said OPH.

"15 days later, 207 people were self-isolating & needed testing. Kids missed school, their parents couldn't work & testing lines were longer."

Last month, an outdoor BBQ in Ottawa led to over 100 individuals in isolation and "two workplace outbreaks," according to the city's top doctor, Dr. Vera Etches.

Dr. Etches has been urging residents to limit socialization to household members only.

On Thursday, Ottawa reported 182 new COVID-19 infections.
