This year's tax deadline is fast approaching!💰

Managing Editor, Canada

With this year's tax deadline just around the corner, there's no better time to check whether you're eligible for Canada's work from home tax break.

Ahead of the April 30 deadline, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has shared a short video that explains how to find out if you qualify for the deduction, which is worth up to $400.

The clip also shows Canadians exactly how to claim the deduction if they're eligible, explaining the two different methods of filing a work from home expenses claim.

Additionally, the video shares details about the CRA's home office expenses calculator, which lets Canadians work out their claim quickly and easily.

Ahead of the filing deadline, the federal agency has been sharing tax tips and advice for those filing during the COVID-19 pandemic. The CRA has even ramped up its services in anticipation of an "incredibly complicated" tax season.
