Ottawa's Terrifying Halloween Festival Is Back & The Motto Is 'We All Wear Masks'

Prepare for serious nightmares! 😱
Managing Editor, Canada

Prepare to have some pretty scary nightmares! If you’ve been looking for things to do to celebrate Halloween in Ottawa, look no further. Fright Fest at Saunders Farm is making a super-scary comeback this year, and the whole festival looks absolutely terrifying.

Whether you’re a lover of all things horror, or whether you’re a true scaredy cat, Halloween is the perfect time to give yourself some goosebumps.

If you’re skipping the parties and trick-or-treating this year, and are looking for something seriously scary to do, Saunders Farm in Ottawa has got you covered.

Throughout the scary season, this family-friendly farm transforms into a spine-chilling horror-show, with witches, monsters, zombies and much, much worse.

This year, you’ll be able to experience three different haunted attractions at the farm; The Coven, The Haunted Hayride and The Shambles.

The slogan for the 2020 event is "We all wear masks," which is really as creepy as can be.

Beware, this festival isn’t for the faint-hearted. You’ll need to be prepared to live out your worst nightmares, run from witches and even get chased by someone wielding a chainsaw.

These Halloween haunts are a staple for O-Town's most brave, and there are new experiences on offer every year for those that just keep coming back.

After an hour of petrifying experiences, you’ll be able to enjoy burgers and poutine on the farm’s patio. Beer, wine, cider and other drinks will also be available, should you need to calm your nerves.

Tickets are available online right now, and prices start at $35 plus tax. You'll have to book in advance this year, as tickets will not be available at the door.

The event is not recommended for children under 10 years old, and face masks will be required during all of the attractions.

Halloween in Ontario is almost upon us, and there are so many haunted and abandoned spots to visit in the province — if you're feeling brave!

If all of this is a little too much for you, don't worry.

There's plenty of non-scary fall fun happening at Saunders Farm over the course of the season, including wagon rides, pumpkin picking and scenic hedge mazes.
